Heritage Woods Students Donate $5,000 to Dan’s Legacy

Four grade 10 students from Heritage Woods Secondary School in Port Moody recently participated in a Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) program, won the competition, and donated their $5,000 prize to us at Dan’s Legacy. The funds will go towards our therapeutic counselling and life-skills intervention programs for at-risk youth.

Pictured in the photo are teacher Angela Jarvis, and team members Emily Batty, Kyla Flynn, Georgia Bishop (who stepped in at the last minute to represent Taryn Mills), and Danelle Anderson.

We’re so proud of the students for their outstanding work on the project, and grateful for their donation and help volunteering at one of our Sunday Haven dinners.

If you or someone you know is asking for counselling help, contact Tom Littlewood, Dan’s Legacy’s Program Director, at [email protected] or 604-999-9136.
