On Thursday, November 16, three of Metro Vancouver’s Top Chefs will create exquisite culinary masterpieces for 120 guests at the 4th Annual Chefs’ Charity Dinner at the prestigious Vancouver Club. Funds raised at the gala support Dan’s Legacy’s counselling and life-skills programs for youth affected by trauma-based mental health and addictions challenges.
Chefs for this year’s event are Sean Cousins (The Vancouver Club), Dino Renaerts (Bon Vivant Catering/Hollyburn Country Club), Shay Kelly (The Caterer) and Dr. Theresa Nicassio (author of “YUM: Plant Based Recipes for a Gluten-Free Diet), as well as students Dan’s Legacy is supporting with its therapy programs in partnership with Coast Mental Health’s Culinary Skills Training Program.
Dan’s Legacy is thrilled to welcome back Fred Lee as the evening’s MC, and the charity will also unveil the launch of its new video “Passages”, in which three clients share their stories of addiction and recovery.
It’s an evening of delectable cuisine, music, lively auctions, and fun.
“The gala is our signature fundraiser where we thank our supporters and community partners, and celebrate the achievements of our youth clients,” says Barbara Coates, Executive Director at Dan’s Legacy. “Our harm prevention programs have a 50% success rate in helping at-risk youth to stabilize and meet their educational, safe housing and life goals. We invite everyone interested in stemming the devastation of the opioid health crisis to come out in support of our cause.”
Individual tickets are $250, and tables of eight are $2,000. Purchase tickets here, or contact Barbara Coates, Executive Director 604-329-9186 for more information.
