On Saturday, November 8, Dan’s Legacy will once again host its Chefs Charity Dinner gala in Surrey, an annual event that raises funds for the charity’s trauma-informed counselling and wrap-around support programs for at-risk youth.
The last time Dan’s Legacy held its fundraiser in Surrey was in 2019 in the foyer of City Hall; this year the location is the Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection, which has generously come on board as the Venue Sponsor.
Guests at the event will enjoy a smorgasbord of dishes prepared by the culinary team at the Civic Hotel under the direction of Head Chef Adam Meagher, as well as chefs Shay Kelly (LACH & Kea Culinary Consultants), Andrew Brazeau-George, Alannah Peddie (Frolic & Forage Catering), and Luke Willingdon (Dan’s Diner) – along with students in Dan’s Legacy’s Cook Training program – who will only use recovered food in their creations.
Celebrity Erin Cebula returns as the fundraiser’s MC.
The evening’s program includes music, a silent auction, stories from Dan’s Legacy’s youth clients, and a chance to enjoy outstanding cuisine – a foodie’s dream!
Dan’s Legacy thanks all its sponsors, donors and supporters, including: Double Platinum Sponsors The BCGEU and Rathburn Contracting Ltd.; Media Sponsor Global BC; Social Media Sponsor Miss604; Venue Sponsor the Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection; Platinum Sponsors VanKam Freightways Ltd. and Century Group; and Surrey Digital, Hye Floral Studio, Watkins Sawmills Ltd., Singh Beans, Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse, CN Rail, and BEEM Credit Union.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available; for more information, contact Event Manager Amy Mildenberger at [email protected]
Dan’s Legacy also recognizes and salutes its volunteers for the gift of their valuable time.
